A program designed by an Oregon teacher, Barbara Bannister. Activities are fun. Learning builds on previous units. Materials in the kit minimize prep time and last for several years with minimal replenishment. Inservice by the author or trained associates ensures successful implementation and enthusiastic teachers and students.
There are suggestions for additional science activities and integrations across the curriculum. Included in each unit are prompts for math, science, speaking, and writing work samples. Student essays and parent letters have been translated into Spanish. This web site and e-mails from the author support teachers' efforts to teach hands-on science. It's a complete package!
